How to clean up water inside a facility?

SERVPRO of Nantahala was called in to help after this commercial facility flooded. Our franchise was asked why we had to add drying equipment to flooring and walls by the staff if we had already removed the water from the carpet.

Secondary Damage Explanation

Secondary damage is the reason for needing drying equipment. Damage that happens after the initial damage is considered secondary. This could be mold growth, dry rot, or bacteria growth. The evaporation process of water is slow on its own causing mold to grow. Adding air movement and dehumidification quickens the evaporation of water that was soaked up by drywall. Without the water, mold will not have time to grow.
