How to cleanup a bathroom after a fire?

Visible Soot and Invisible odors

The soot is easier to clean because it is visible to our cleaning technicians. Smoke smell is much harder to clean.

This home had a fire in the kitchen but the entire house smelled like smoke. Removing that smell starts with any clothing, bedding, and anything that is washable. Next removing the smoke odor by cleaning all the walls and carpets until the smell is gone.

One important, and often overlooked, step is that of cleaning the air ducts and filters. A deodorizer is also added to the ducting to help with any troubled stops inside the home.
